Junior at William & Mary

Make it About Them.

I love the community at William & Mary. With students and professors of various backgrounds and interests, it’s incredible to meet people who want to help you succeed. Through my involvement with different organizations such as LASU and WeMake Filmmakers, I’ve been able to immerse myself in the different aspects of what this school offers its students. I’ve had the opportunity to work as a Video Intern for the University Marketing team where I’ve been able to build my videography skills by attending various events and shoots throughout campus. Another memorable moment was participating in 24-speed hosted by the Ampersand International Arts Festival where students must film, shoot, and edit a short film in 24 hours (a challenge I plan to do again this year). Through the school, I’ve also had the opportunity to study abroad in St. Andrews for a year which was very unique and enhanced my college experience. While abroad I also immersed myself in the culture and activities by joining the Filmmakers Society, Boxing, and working as a Visual Content Creator for BAME Students’ Network. Founder and President of WeMake Filmmakers (and the club now has its own screening in the Ampersand International Arts Festival). Co-director and Director of Photography for the ridge grave girls (a lift-off global network film official selection and shortlisted for the Glasgow Short Film Festival). 2022 Spark Award Recipient from Amplify Voices. Amplify Voices is a non-profit that serves groups historically misunderstood or silenced and empowers individuals in these communities to use their voices.
